Teen Titans Go!

What It Is
It's no wonder the Teen Titans are hotter than ever. We live in a culture obsessed with looking younger and for a group of heroes in their 50s, the Teen Titans look great!

The Titans first appeared together as a group in a 1966 comic book. Since then they have disbanded and regrouped countless times. Some members left the group to go to college while others became disembodied spirits roaming the galaxy. One thing remained the same, they never lost their youth, with nary a Botox syringe in sight, we might add. If only we could all be Teen Titans.

The latest cartoon adaptation is reaching a new generation on Cartoon Network and Kids' WB!. Bandai, as the master toy licensee, has a line of figures, vehicles, playsets and plush pals based on this cartoon.

Why It's Fun

Action figures are usually fun for one of two reasons: they are collectible or they are fun to play with. Great figures will fulfill both requirements but if a figure doesn't meet at least one of these criteria it's not going to be fun.

The 10" figures are great collectible items. The large window package creates a nice display case for these bright and colorful figures, which will look like objects d'art on a shelf. Don't worry if the temptation to tear open the box is too great for you because they are also fun to play with.

The 3.5" action figures have a ton of play value. Some are sold in two-packs featuring a Titan and villain while other figures are sold with a Battling Machine vehicle. The vehicles are wacky interpretations of common household appliances, like Aqualad's vacuum inspired Vac-Cycle, that transform to battle modes and can connect with other battling machines (sold separately of course).

Who's Going To Love It

The cartoon has generated a huge fan following due in part to its quirky humor. (We've observed that unlike other action/adventure cartoons, Teen Titans has a tremendous Tween Girl following, and these young people are avid collectors.) That same quirkiness can be seen in the toys, especially the Super Deformed Pals. These plush figures have ginormous heads with peculiar expressions on the faces.

While those that have never seen the cartoon might not "get" the figures, fans of the show are sure to love and want them.

What To Be Aware Of

Most of the 3.5" and 10" action figures have only a few articulation points so they aren't very poseable.

The 3.5" figures are compatible with all the vehicles and playsets in the line.
