What It Is
Idbids are a line of eco-friendly, organic plush toys designed to be cute, cuddly and educational. Each of the three Idbids currently available¾Scout the cloud, Lola the flower and Waverly the water drop¾are hand-made of 100% organic cotton and sold in kits, which are packed full of information aimed at teaching kids about the little, “iddy biddy” steps each child can take to make a large impact on our environment.
Why It's Fun
Most kids learn from an early age that we should all be involved in daily practices that are good for our planet. They are an eager group and want to do their part unfortunately, they rarely have the opportunity to do something of their own. The Idbids give young kids their very own environmentally friendly activity that they love.
The dolls are sold in kits that increase the play potential to far more than just the doll and eco-friendly tips alone. Each kit comes with the Idbids Field Guide, which presents kids with 10 simple steps to complete, taking the eco-friendly ideas beyond mere suggestions and
into practical use. Once kids complete the Field Guide, they can go online and be rewarded with a personalized certificate of completion.
Additionally, the kit includes a storybook with real photographic environments and a story line that places the child in the role of the story’s hero.
Who's Going To Love It
The Idbids dolls are modeled after their earth elements and are entirely appropriate for both boys and girls ages three and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Idbids practice what they preach by turning the product’s packaging into an additional toy with paper doll Idbids and a play land insert. The entire package, including the plastic window is recyclable.
All of the above can be tucked in the included, organic cinch sack, which kids can wear on their backs. We certainly have observed the rise in eco-awareness among even the youngest kids. That’s good news, as they will be learning from an early age that they have a responsibility to the planet. Taking that fairly elaborate concept and turning it into an interactive play experience is a real achievement, and a “feel good” kind of play for kids. |
