What It Is

"Action Man In-Line Extreme" is the in-line skating version of the popular extreme sports action figure, "Action Man." Coming in a variety of play sets (e.g., Sky Diver, Polar Mission, Super Ninja, etc.), this package sports "turbo charged" skates, an in-line skate missile, high impact headgear and blaster proof armor (in this case, solidly molded plastic). Action Man can assume different poses and, given you have positioned him with an ample amount of equilibrium, can skate at will. A smooth, sloped surface is Action Man's favorite, but he will also glide across a smooth, flat surface with a gentle shove. A press of the button on the back of his turbo engine will launch a plastic missile.

Action figure play is classic boys’ play, where the boy is the imaginary star of all kinds of adventures. This is the ultimate in story-driven play where the child takes on all the super characteristics of his favorite hero. Combined with the television and online components, Action Man stimulates classic play that’s ideal for the summer months—or any time. Hasbro has brought back the 12" figure, which makes it easier for small fingers to manipulate and get the figure to "do" more. Shooting the missile at a favorite sofa and imagining a small explosion is pretty neat, too.

Boys. It's that simple. Action figures such as G.I Joe, Big Jim and Max Steel appeal to the way young boys play and imagine. Creating all kinds of scenarios where heroic action is central to the play can keep kids occupied for hours.

What To Be Aware Of

"Action Man In-Line Extreme" does come with two removable plastic missiles that should not be left within the reach of children, three and under. No batteries are required. Chances are kids are going to want to collect several of these, and the Action Man line has products at affordable prices, which makes the figures good for collecting and group play.
