What It Is

What if it was possible to repopulate an extinct species using DNA found in a fossil? Should we do it and if we do, should we turn the results into a family theme park? Well now you have the power to bring dinosaurs back to life and sell tickets to view them.

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis gives you the ability, money and power to build and manage your very own Jurassic Park. Create the most amazing dinosaur theme park the world has ever seen, or battle your way through twelve intense missions that will test your skills against the awesome powers of nature and some of its largest creatures.

Why It’s Fun

This is a great world-builder game where the player has ultimate control over all aspects of the world he or she creates. From the shape of the island to the placement of a trashcan to the selection of the dinosaur breed to grow, every decision is yours. Of course, you’ll have INGEN, the mega-corporation, watching over your shoulder and periodically asking you to join the board for evaluations.

Who’s Going To Love It

This game will be a big hit with fans of world-builder games like Sim Theme Park and Sim City. It will also appeal to Jurassic Park and dinosaur fans who are eager to build a park that rivals Dr. John Hammond’s dream.

What To Be Aware Of

Building and managing a theme park filled with extinct dinosaurs is no easy task. There are a lot of little details to consider and keep on top of if you want your park to be successful.

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis has a great Visitor View mode that allows you take in the sights of your park on a virtual tour. That means you can actually watch a carnivorous dinosaur at feeding time snack on an unsuspecting goat. As you can probably imagine, that’s a bloody sight and may not be suitable for young gamers.
