The first major product in the Harry Potter line from Mattel is a magnificently designed game that features questions related to the first book: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Game play begins with a sorting ceremony–just like in the book–and players compete to see who knows the most about Harry and the world of Hogwart’s. Each question can be answered in one of three ways, which adds to the fun and the gameplay. The game is beautifully designed and includes glass and pewter playing pieces.

The world of Harry Potter comes alive in this game where kids can create an exciting experience surrounding their knowledge of and interest in all aspects of this story. Children love sharing and competing with what they know. As in the books, the story is central to gameplay, creating a rich experience that children will love independently or as a family activity. Even so, the beautiful design, high quality production and exciting game play make it worth the money for the Harry Potter fan. It will be available only at specialty stores and the Warner Bros. Studio Stores this year, and is likely to be very popular.
