What It Is

If you feel the need for speed, but lack the vehicle and race course, then grab your GBA (Game Boy Advance) and take GT Advance 3: Pro Concept Racing for a spin.

This sequel to THQ’s critically acclaimed series of GT Advance racing titles follows in the tradition of delivering top-notch automobile racing game action for a portable game system.

Why It’s Fun

GT Advance 3 gives the gamer more than ninety cars to choose from. You begin with a selection of twenty cars, which includes the Mitsubishi Lancer GSA, Mazda Miata, ASL ASO 1 and Toyota Sprinter, and unlock additional cars as you play. Each car comes with either manual or automatic transmission depending on the player’s preference. Another really cool feature of GT Advance 3 is fine-tuning your car in the garage. Here you can unlock and upgrade various components of your racing vehicle like the engine, muffler, seat and even add a computer chip to achieve top speeds.

Who’s Going To Love It

Racing game fans, especially those who own any of the previous GT Advance games, will really be into GT Advance 3. Even the casual racing gamer will enjoy a non-committal circuit using the Quick Race Mode where you compete for first place in one race. This is also a handy mode for those occasions when you just don’t have the time for a complete class competition, like while waiting for your Pop-Tarts to pop!

What To Be Aware Of

GT Advance 3 has some very nice features, in addition to those mentioned above, that really add to the overall enjoyment of the game. For example, you can set the time of day and weather conditions on some races.
